Moto G82 5G was launched in Europe on Thursday as the latest handset from the Lenovo-owned brand. The new Moto G-series phone comes with features such as a 120Hz refresh rate display, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The new Moto G82 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The smartphone includes a fingerprint scanner and comes with support for Google Assistant. Further, it carries a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W TurboPower fast charging.

Moto G82 5G price, availability

Price of Moto G82 5G has been set at EUR 329.99 (roughly Rs. 26,500) for the single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It comes in Meteorite Gray and White Lily colour options.

The new Motorola smartphone will soon make its debut in select markets including India, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East in “the coming weeks”, said the company.

Moto G82 5G specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Moto G82 5G runs on Android 12 and features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 402ppi. The display has 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and the screen is SGS-certified for low blue light as well. Under the hood, the Moto G82 5G has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

For optics, Motorola has provided a triple rear camera unit on the Moto G82 5G paired with a single LED flash. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and support for optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 118-degree field-of-view, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera unit supports a range of camera modes including burst shot, AR stickers, portrait mode, night vision, live photo and panorama among others. For selfies and video chats, the Moto G82 5G has a 16-megapixel sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 aperture.

The new Moto G82 5G offers 128GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via a microSD card (up to 1TB) through a dedicated slot. Connectivity options on the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, A-GPS, LTEPP, SUPL, GLONASS, Galileo, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. Further, it has support for Google Assistant. The smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and has support for face unlock feature. Other sensors on board include an accelerometer, gyroscope, e-compass, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.

The Moto G82 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W TurboPower fast charging. Further, the smartphone has a dust- and water-resistant design with an IP52 rating. The Moto G82 5G houses dual microphones and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Besides, the phone measures 160.89 x 7.99 x 74.46mm and weighs 173 grams.

iQoo Neo 6 launch date in India has been confirmed to be May 31. The Chinese company announced that the smartphone will hit Indian markets with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipset and 80W flash charge. This is different from the China variant of the iQoo Neo 6, which featured a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The handset is expected to come in two colour options and house up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Amazon had reportedly pushed out a notification last week indicating that the handset from iQoo will launch in India on May 31. Recent reports have also indicated that the sale of the smartphone may take place in the first week of June.

Earlier this week, the launch date was leaked by the e-commerce site when it reportedly pushed out a notification. Another report claimed that the sale of the upcoming iQoo smartphone would take place in the first week of June.

iQoo Neo 6 is expected to be priced at over Rs. 29,000 for its base model, as per a recent leak by tipster Paras Guglani. Meanwhile, its highest variant is tipped to have a price range higher than Rs. 31,000. iQoo Neo 6 is expected to be available in two colour options — Dark Nova and Interstellar.

The China variant of the iQoo Neo 6 was launched in mid-April, and features QualcommSnapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

As mentioned earlier, the Indian variant of the iQoo Neo 6 is said house up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The handset is said to include a 16-megapixel front camera, apart from a triple camera setup with 64-megapixel (OIS), 8-megapixel, and 2-megapixel sensors. iQoo Neo 6 Indian variant is expected to house a 4,700mAh battery. The handset is also said to feature 80W fast charging.

OnePlus Smartphone, Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition, Asus ROG Phone 6 to Feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

OnePlus, Realme, and Asus have announced the launch of smartphones equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, just a day after the flagship chipset was launched by Qualcomm. Asus will be bringing out the ROG Phone 6 gaming smartphone powered by the latest chipset from Qualcomm while the handset from OnePlus featuring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is scheduled to hit the markets in the third quarter of the current year. Realme has also announced that its GT2 Master Explorer Edition will be the first handset to sport the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. To recall, several other manufacturers have announced use of the new Qualcomm SoCs, but these are the first few manufacturers to reveal concrete plans.

OnePlus in a post on Weibo teased an upcoming smartphone equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC on its official Weibo page. Although the name of the handset has not been revealed by the company, OnePlus has said the smartphone will hit the market in Q3 of 2022.

Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition will also feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. In fact, Realme has also claimed in its Weibo post that the flagship smartphone will be first Android mobile to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ processor. The official launch date of the handset has not been announced yet.

And finally, Taiwanese electronics giant Asus has also confirmed that ROG Phone 6 series, which will be launched as the Tencent variant in the Chinese market, will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in both the Chinese and global variant. The ROG brand has also made the announcement on its official Instagram page where it has said that the ROG Phone 6 will be the first gaming smartphone to sport the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. 2D renders of the ROG Phone 6 series were leaked earlier this year. The design of the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 6 series was shown to be similar to the Asus ROG Phone 5 series.

Qualcomm recently launched the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoCs as its latest mobile platforms. Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is capable of delivering up to 10 percent faster CPU performance and 30 percent improved power efficiency over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. As we mentioned, apart from OnePlus, Realme, and Asus, several other manufacturers announced they would be launching smartphones with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, including including Black Shark, Honor, iQoo, Lenovo, Motorola, Nubia, Oppo, Redmi, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE.
